In the Hands of God

We leave for Vietnam in 46 days. I cannot believe how soon that is. Last night I was talking about Vietnam and getting my passport and Tabi said, "I can't believe that you are actually going to Vietnam." Part of me can't believe it either. I often struggle with wondering what I can do for God right now. I am only 15 and sometimes it feels as though I must wait until I'm 25 to do something for Jesus. My greatest hope is that going on this trip will allow me to experience the joy that you receive when you are doing something for Jesus. I don't know the details of what I will be doing in Vietnam, I don't know what flight I'm going on, or how I'm going to expedite my passport...there are so many things about this trip that I'm unsure of. I'm usually a person who has everything planned months in advance, but not this trip. For me, this trip is in the hands of God. Everything about this trip, from the dates, what to bring, where to go, the plane ride home...everything, is all being given to God. And it's funny, because while I usually get stuff done so far in advance, I am always freaking out about the details. But with this trip, I am completely relaxed. Maybe it is because I know for sure that this is what God wants me to do; right at this time in my life.

Isaiah 40:31

Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
